Obituary for Lidia Iris Bruno

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend Lidia Iris Badillo-Bruno was born on June 19th, 1944 in Moca PR, to parents Efidencio and Aurora Badillo. Lidia passed away peacefully alongside her loving family on October 27th, 2023 after a long battle of congestive heart failure.

Lidia was remarkable and a humble true child of GOD. She was warm, kind, compassionate and a loving soul. An exceptional listener and an insightful friend. One who was generous in every sense of the word. Gave without expectation, knowing that the act of giving is its own reward.

Lydia married her true soulmate, Raul Bruno, on July 21st, 1962. She worked and retired from the NYC Comptroller’s Office. Her daughter, Janice, also worked there as a Computer System Trainer and had the ultimate privilege of training her mother on how to operate the CompuCorp 775 System. What an honor!

Lidia was a member of Damasco Christian Church since childhood. As an adult, Lidia and her husband Rev. Raul Bruno worked tirelessly devoting their life to serving GOD and Pastoring Damasco Christian Church for over 40+ years, sharing the love of GOD to all. Lidia’s greatest passion, besides being the church drummer, was her family and sharing the Gospel. She was the proud mother of two children, grandmother to three and two great grandchildren. Her children, grandchildren, and family were proud to call her mom, grandma & nana & titi.

She will truly be missed. However, we will continue to cherish and share everlasting memories. Nothing can ever take away the love the heart holds dear! ❤️ Rest In Eternal Peace🙏🕊️🙏
