Condolence: The National Health Care for the Homeless Council sends condolences to the family and friends of our dear brother David Broxton. I was fortunate to know David well for the last dozen years through his work and leadership at Care for the Homeless. David was a dapper dresser, and always brightened a room with his quick smile. He was also always ready to employ his booming voice at a moment's notice in a song or public speaking engagement. A charter member of CFH's Speaker's Bureau, David's way of turning a phrase made him an engaging, memorable, powerful and effective speaker for social justice and human rights. He was a frequent speaker at our Rallies for Human Rights in Washington, DC and other cities around the country. On behalf of the National Health Care for the Homeless Council, I can say with certainty that David is missed by his friends and colleagues not only in NYC, but throughout the country. However, his example and impact continues to energize and inspire us. Rest well, our brother. Bobby Watts, CEO National Health Care for the Homeless Council

Condolence: I had the great privilege to work with David in his volunteering to help people experiencing poverty and homelessness in NYC over the past 5 1/2 years. David was exceptional in his commitment to others and his desire to give back to the community. He was always enthusiastic and strong in his service. Everyone who worked with him came to be his friend. I will never forget David. He was such a presence. Even thinking of him now brings a smile to my face. Rest in Peace, my friend.
