Obituary for Alma Grace

Alma Coney Grace was born on June 25, 1922 to Beatrice O'Neil-Coney and John Coney (both now deceased) in Hawkinsville, Georgia.
Alma who was affectionately called "Sug" was kind hearted, caring and joyful right up until the Lord called her home. She met and married Otis Grace on April 2, 1939 in Pulaski County, Georgia and moved to New York City in 1943. From that union they had six children. Alma retired in 1985 from Penning House after twenty five years of loyal service. She adored dressing up in freshly bought clothes. She had a great love for music as well, some of her favorite artist being: B.B. King, Al Green, Sam Cooke and Ray Charles. Alma would go to the local record shop right after work, buy a new 45, take it home and play it over and over until bedtime. Alma was a great cook and enjoyed eating good food. all who know her well will attest.

She was preceded in death by her children, Joan Grace-Wiltshire, Elizabeth Grace-Hamilton and Otis Grace, Jr. Cherishing her memory, is her son George Grace, and her daughters, Pauline Dunlap, Vivian Rhodes and Vickie Grace-Davis. Her Grandchildren, Brian Grace, Warren Wiltshire, George Grace, Sean Grace, Kicia Grace-Hardy, Lolita Grace, Dwayne Rhodes, Kenneth Davis and Germaine Grace-Hamilton. Her greta grandchildren, Maurrine Turner, Christopher Williams, Kevin Grace, Bryce and Jotdan Hardy. Her God-children, Carol Gordon, Linda Jackson and a host of loving relatives and friends.
