Life Story for David Morgan

David Morgan, aged 77, passed away on Friday, July 21st at Joe Raso hospice residence. David was born in Manchester, England to David and Elsie Morgan and was the oldest of three children. At the age of 9 he and his family immigrated to the United States and settled in Milford, Massachusetts. As a child, David was an avid jazz drummer and played in the United States Navy band during his Naval Service where he also served on board the submarine the U.S.S. Sterlet. After the Navy, David attended and graduated from New York University and Hunter College School of Social Work. David further graduated from the C. G. Jung Institute of New York and passionately applied the work of Jung to his private therapy practice that he maintained for over 40 years. He was an avid reader, lover of the theater, and impassioned writer. He was also a fourth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and an ardent Boston Red Sox Fan. He is survived by his daughter Jessica, his son Arthur, and his grandchildren: Annette, Robin, and Louis.
Funeral services will be held at Redden’s Funeral Home at 325 West 14th street in New York City on Thursday July 27th with a viewing from 4-6:30 and service from 6:30-8. Donations can be made in David’s memory to Doctors Without Borders, one of his favorite charities.
