Condolences

Condolence From: Eddie Kravitz
Condolence: Smitty was my friend. He was my stand in father. My own father was a emotionally brutal person. I meet Smitty some 36 years ago when I moved into the same building. I would always talk to him and he taught me how to get along in this world. My favorite memory is this: When he wasn't at sea I would usually do a nightly run for snacks. One night I said to him "hey Smitty you want some vanilla ice cream and cherry pie." You could practically see him salivating. I replied "well you better hurry up the A&P closes in 10 minutes." He never let me live that down and we always got a laugh from that. On November 13, 2017 at 7:22 pm my wife of 30 years, Maureen, was pronounced dead as the result of suicide. Even if he was alive at the time I would have never told him because it would have broke his heart. Smitty was a great person. He will never know how much he helped me. He taught me to be a mensch as he was a mensch. I miss my both of my friends.

Condolence: My deepest sympathťy to the family. Losing a love one can be very difficult but I've found comfort in God's promise of a resurrection and his promise to swallow up death forever. John 5:28, 29 and Isaiah 25:8
